    How We Ship Fireworks

Fireworks must ship as hazmat freight via common carrier (on a semi-truck), and shipping cannot be rushed or expedited. We ship all orders FOB Origin, which means at the time we give your order to the shipping company, it becomes yours. Please read all of the information below to understand our process and your responsibilities regarding delivery.

    When Will My Fireworks Ship?

Orders are processed as quickly as possible and typically ship 1 to 2 business days (M-F) after you place your order. Delays in processing can occur when billing, shipping, or phone number information are incorrect. Please double-check your information before submitting your order.

How Long Will It Take To Receive My Fireworks?

Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. For fireworks shipments, it can take 4 – 10 business days (M-F) to receive your order after we ship it, so plan ahead and order early. During high demand times (May – June) it may take longer. For best results, we recommend placing your order at least two weeks before your event. Ground shipments are subject to UPS or FedEx Ground delivery timeframes. Captain Boom Fireworks does not guarantee delivery dates, and is not responsible for delays in transit.

How Will I Know My Delivery Date?

Tracking numbers are provided with your shipment confirmation email and may take up to 24 hours to reflect an expected delivery date. Please make sure you can receive emails from captainboom.com. The expected delivery date on fireworks shipments is the date your shipment reaches the local freight terminal. It is not the date it is delivered to you. The freight company provides the actual delivery date/time when they call to set your delivery appointment.

Do I Need To Be There When My Fireworks Arrive?

When your fireworks reach a freight terminal near your shipping address, the freight company will call you to arrange delivery. A delivery appointment and adult signature (18+) are required for all fireworks shipments. Please read about how to schedule your delivery appointment, so you will know what to expect. We make an effort to ship directly to your address, but if your home or business is not accessible to a semi-truck, you may be required to pick up your fireworks order at the freight terminal. You must provide a valid phone number where the freight company can call you.

Can I Pick Up At The Freight Terminal?

You may prefer to pick up at the freight terminal to save time on the delivery. Request a terminal pickup when scheduling your delivery appointment, and the freight company will reach out to us for authorization. Once we authorize terminal pickup, you can pick up your order. The authorization process typically takes a couple of hours. You will need to pick up your order in person. We do not authorize third parties to pick up on your behalf. Be sure to take a photo ID, as it will be required for pickup.

What If I Need To Change My Delivery Address?

If you need to change your delivery address after your order has been shipped, this is called a reconsignment. The cost for a reconsignment is typically equal to, but can be greater than, the original freight charge. Reconsignment fees can be charged even if you are changing the address to your neighbor’s house next door. This charge will be billed directly to you by the freight company. Captain Boom Fireworks DOES NOT PAY for address change reconsignment fees, even if your order originally qualified for free shipping. Please enter your address information correctly.

    What Happens At Delivery?

At delivery, the truck driver will bring your shipment to the back of the semi-truck. It is your responsibility to get it off the truck. Any assistance the driver provides may cause you to incur extra freight fees billed directly to you by the freight company.

IMPORTANT: Inspect your order before you sign for it! You MUST NOTE any damage or shortage on the bill of lading (delivery papers) and take photos of damaged cartons before you sign for the delivery. If you sign for the order and do not note damage or missing packages, you will forfeit any replacement or credit for missing or damaged items. Captain Boom Fireworks is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs in transit. Read our Shipment Inspection Policy, so you know what is required to protect your rights in case something goes wrong.

What Do I Do If My Shipment Is Lost Or Damaged?

Loss or damage doesn’t happen often, but as long as you have followed the instructions on our shipment inspection policy, you will be made whole. Please note, we will not reship items damaged or lost in transit unless the trucking company determines the damage or loss resulted during transit.

If you provide us proof of damage or loss, we will file a freight claim on your behalf. Please note that once a freight claim is filed, it may take 6 to 8 weeks for the freight company to make a loss or damage determination. Learn more about the freight claim process. We reserve the right to rectify any damage or discrepancy in the form of a store credit.

Make sure the person receiving the shipment can lift your boxes down from the truck’s tailgate or you could be charged extra by the freight company. Captain Boom Fireworks does not include or pay for any extra services you use at delivery, this includes but is not limited to: Liftgate, Inside Delivery, Detention, or Reconsignment. Read more about Extra Freight Charges and how to avoid them.

Can I Cancel My Order Or Return It?

All sales are final. Due to shipping regulations and the high cost of shipping, we do not accept returns. Orders cannot be cancelled after they leave our warehouse. Your order is considered shipped once it is on our freight dock and ready for pickup. Read our Cancellations & Returns Policy.
